When Cyndi Lauper’s charitable organization working to end LGBTQ+ youth homelessness, True Colors Fund, ended their grant-awarding tradition, I was selected to lead a Director/VP-level team of 10 to rename & rebrand it . I worked through 3 rigorous rounds of renaming reviews, & guided my team in a logo & color palette evolution. And did I mention that celebrity members of True Color's Board of Directors attended every presentation of work? No pressure.
After we finally earned client approvals for the new name, True Colors United, new branding, and new tag line, "Bringing LGBTQ+ Youth Home," TCU then became our summer interns' focus. Again, I was selected from hundreds of creatives to serve as Creative Lead & Mentor for their advertising pitch project, sitting with representatives from Account, Strategy, Advanced Technology, & User Experience to judge each intern team's concepts & executions.
It was a very fun & cool experience, recharging my creative batteries -- & some of those interns still reach out to me today.
