When Vote Run Lead, a 501(c)(3) political organization decided to launch a 501(c)(4) political action committee, they called me in to establish the new brand's distinct voice. Welcome to the world, Vote Run Lead Action!

Vote Run Lead Action's focus is achieving a majority of women & gender-expansive folks in elected office, particularly at the state level. Vote Run Lead's focus is on training them to get into those offices.

I was integral in strategizing this c4 launch, including developing a tone of voice distinct from the c3 (legally required), writing comprehensive brand guidelines, & crafting a new tagline for the c4 to further differentiate it from the c3. I relied on several of the proprietary tools & matrices I've created over the years to devise winning content strategies, brand voice & design principles, & memorable program names for c4 initiatives.

Not only did I write the entire Vote Run Lead Action website, much of its social media content, an interactive voters' guide, & start an enewsletter & a successful fundraising campaign (what what: $125k in the first 3 months?!), I also created a headline bank from which their national comms team can make regular withdrawals as they need.

And because I'm a responsible consultant, I scoped all these projects to maximize Vote Run Lead Action's ROI, managing a tight budget & deadlines, & coordinating with a great crew of freelance resources across the creative spectrum.
